Hey guys this is Des with T-Mobile Today I'm covering how to transfer your data from your old phone to your new Samsung Galaxy smartphone. This can be a huge time saver to get you up and running on your new device and we hope you find this how-to useful. So you dropped by a T-Mobile store and got yourself a brand new Galaxy smartphone and you're stoked. First up will be transferring content using Wi-Fi. Set your old phone and new phone within 3 to 4 inches of each other. Make sure you got the Smart Switch app installed on both of your phones. Launch Smart Switch on both phones. Tap "Send Data" on your old phone and then tap "wireless" The two phones will automatically connect. Select the content that you want to send from the old phone and then tap 'Send'.
On the new Galaxy phone, tap "Receive" And the data transfer will begin. When the transfer if complete, Tap "Done" on the Galaxy phone, and tap "Close" on the old phone Transferring Content with a USB cable You can also transfer your data using the smart switch adapter and your USB cable. First, launch Smart Switch on both phones Tap "Send Data" on the old phone On the new Galaxy phone, tap "Receive Data". And then tap "Cable" Connect the two phones using the old phone's USB cable and the USB OTG adapter that came with your new Galaxy phone. Once it finishes scanning the old phone, select the data you want transferred and then tap "Transfer" When finished, tap "Done" on your Galaxy phone and tap "Close" on the old phone There you go.
