Simple Tips To Help You Manage The Iphone

The advent of the iPhone marks a true high water mark in the history personal consumer electronics. However, the key to getting the most out of your device is to educate yourself thoroughly on all of its potential uses. By reviewing the tips in the article that follows, you can make every day an optimal iPhone experience.

Take precautions against losing your iphone. Your iphone can be tracked by a GPS. You can use this to locate your lost iphone, if you have taken the time to set it up. Consult your instruction manual or the settings in the iphone itself. Make sure that it is set to be tracked should you misplace it.

Make frequently visited websites apps. When you are visiting a website that you want to add directly to your home screen, do simply in Safari. Near the top of the screen, press the Go To icon. You will then have the option of adding that website to your home screen for easy access in the future.

Make sure that you update your iPhone whenever this becomes available, as this can give you the ability to gain new functions that are created by Apple. Typically, you will find a notification under the settings tab, which will prompt you to update your entire phone to get these different abilities.

Take a screen shot on your iPhone. Do you want to capture a shot of your screen? You can quickly push down the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time, and then release it. You should hear a camera sound. This will take a picture of whatever is on your screen and it can be found in your picture file.

If you called someone and do not remember their number or when you called them, click the “recents” button in the phone section. This button will not only give you a list of your recent calls and their times, but also allow you to delete these call logs or check your missed calls.

Do you need to be able to fast forward or rewind music and video? If you press and hold the skip button, this is a much more effective way of doing so instead of just pressing the skip button. You can get to any frame of the video or part of the song that you need to in no time at all.

Download the Safari application so that you can have maximum use of your phone. In addition to many other features it offers, Safari allows a user to call a contact without going back to the phone feature. For example, if you find a theater you want to call online just click on the number and it will call it for you.

If you drop your iPhone into something wet, don’t panic. Leave it off and simply dry it gently with a towel. Then grab a zipper storage bag or bowl and submerge the phone in some uncooked white rice. The rice will help draw out the moisture that is trapped inside the phone.

Save the settings of your home wireless network on your iPhone so that it connects to the Internet right away when you come home. Do not hesitate to protect your home wireless network with a strong password so that no one else can use it: after all, you will not have to remember your password once you save it on your iPhone.

If you use your iPhone to store huge numbers of contacts, songs, email and websites, you may find it time-consuming to scroll from the end of the list to the beginning. Save time by double-tapping the clock icon at the top of the screen. This will immediately take you to the very top of the list.

Make sure that you delete conversations that you are not using in the messages screen. This is very important because as time goes on, your conversation history will become longer and longer, reducing the amount of space on your phone. You can do this by going to your messages section and deleting full conversations or part of them with the edit function.

There is no denying the fact that the iPhone revolutionized the world of handheld devices. The seemingly limitless tasks that can be accomplished with the iPhone can make owning feel a bit daunting to some. However, if you heed the guidance contained in the piece above, you will be an expert in short order.
